Spring on East Coast

Spring on the East Coast tends to come in fast.  A week or two of rainy weather, then some usually warm days, and there you go, everything starts blooming.  The days are longer now, and May and June have beautiful early mornings that I enjoy waking up to.  Birds are so excited that some fly right into our window.  And, of course, Mayflies are out in force, making you go much faster on our spring hikes!

We are preparing for our next trip, which will involve bringing the camper back home. We have been traveling for the past three years, with about six months spent on the road. We always take a family cruise, and this year, I finally went skiing for the first time since my knee injury. I've discovered that I enjoy exploring lesser-known places just as much as the more famous ones. While it's easy to take Instagram-worthy pictures without truly experiencing a location, its history, geology, and people, finding the story behind lesser-known spots requires more effort and a willingness to learn.

It will be good to be home after being away so much, though we still have a couple of planned trips.

I look forward to returning to Las Vegas and starting our journey again.
